Ten Hag reveals Man Utd transfer stance with latest Sancho decision

Jadon Sancho has been included in Manchester United's squad for their pre-season tour of the US.

The winger made his surprise comeback to Man Utd senior training two weeks ago as the Red Devils' pre-season kicked off. It was an unexpected sight as the position of Sancho in the side was still unknown at the time.

Last September, the 24-year-old fell out with coach Erik ten Hag after publically snapping back at the Dutchman's criticism of his training performances, leading to the player being banished from all first-team facilities.

After six months spent in Borussia Dortmund exile, during which he impressed with his performances, Sancho was permitted back onto the training ground following a talk with Ten Hag that cleared the air.

Previously, Sancho was a guaranteed candidate to be sold this summer, but this no longer appears to be the case.

Sancho going on tour

Since his return, rumours of Man Utd's stance softening have been proliferating and it indeed seems to be the case that they are no longer desperate to offload him.

To be sure, they remain open to cashing in on him if a suitable offer arrives, with a report on Wednesday morning claiming that €47.5 million could do the trick, but so far no club has shown any willingness to match this demand.

Borussia Dortmund remain keen on re-signing him, while Juventus are also looking at Sancho without firming up their interest just yet. PSG, meanwhile, have the Englishman on their shortlist of options, but reports from France that they already have an agreement on personal terms have been played down by Fabrizio Romano.

Following Sancho's return to training, Ten Hag hinted that he could stay by stating that "Man Utd need good players and Jadon is a good player." His latest decision seemingly confirms his U-turn once more.

Sancho has been included in Man Utd's 29-man squad for their US pre-season tour that will see them square up with Arsenal, Real Betis and Liverpool between July 28 and August 3.

Compared to Chelsea, who have excluded Trevoh Chalobah from their pre-season tour squad in an attempt to force him out of the club, it seems that Man Utd are much less committed to getting rid of Sancho.
