Man Utd move for exciting midfield upgrade as McTominay nears Fulham
Manchester United are set to make an upgrade in their midfield ahead of the start of the Premier League season as Scott McTominay closes in on a transfer to Fulham – and the best part of it is, they will make a profit from it all.
McTominay has a year left on his contract with Man Utd, and though the Old Trafford side retain the possibility of extending his deal by 12 months, there is a possibility they sell him this summer.
Fulham are poised to make a move for the Scotland international, while Football Insider reports that there is also interest from West Ham, Newcastle United and Southampton.
The Cottagers have had one bid knocked back by the Red Devils, but they are now expected to launch another offer for a player with an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €15.8 million.

Man Utd in Rabiot talks
McTominay’s exit would create a void that Adrien Rabiot would be likely to fill, with the 29-year-old a free agent after his contract with Juventus expired at the end of June.
CaughtOffside reports that Man Utd are working on a contract for the former PSG star, with the Old Trafford outfit thought to be leading the race for the player.
Veronique Rabiot, the player’s agent and mother, is working on a contract that is valued at around €8-9 million per year, plus a signing-on bonus.

United have previously been linked with a move for Rabiot, but talks broke down over difficulties negotiating with his notoriously stubborn mother.
On this occasion, however, the door is open for a deal to be made as McTominay is poised to leave the club, while Rabiot is a comparatively cheap option following his departure from Juventus.
Typically a midfield player who is primarily defensively focused, Rabiot has strong experience at the top level, boasting more than 200 appearances for both PSG and Juventus, as well as 48 international caps for France.
