Romano confirms Man Utd interest in ex-Real Madrid wonderkid
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Manchester United are interested in Miguel Gutierrez.
The Spanish left-back is coming off a real breakout season on a personal and team level at Girona. Gutierrez contributed an impressive nine assists and two goals from his defensive position as the Catalans qualified for the Champions League for the first time in club history.
Speculation surrounding his future has been rampant off the back of such an outstanding campaign. A product of Real Madrid's youth academy, Los Blancos retain a buy-back clause of just €8 million and thus control his destiny in a way.

There is likely no need for Gutierrez at the Santiago Bernabeu at present given Real Madrid's pursuit of Alphonso Davies, but it is nevertheless thought that they could re-sign Gutierrez and then flip him for a profit.
As things stand, however, he is a Girona player and is unwilling to entertain transfer talks ahead of the Olympics. However, he has no shortage of suitors.
Romano confirms Man Utd's interest
Among the clubs interested are Man Utd. Spanish media revealed that Gutierrez had appeared on the radar of the Red Devils at the beginning of July and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed this.
The Italian, however, also reiterated that Bournemouth youngster Milos Kerkez is a genuine target. In fact, FootballTransfers understands that he is the top target for the left-back position.

"He [Gutierrez] could be one of the options, he's one of the players they've been monitoring," Romano told GIVEMESPORT. At the moment, I'm not aware of direct negotiations with Girona, to be honest, but he could be one of the names."
"So we know that Manchester United want to add one more left-back. We already mentioned Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth as an option - it's not an easy one because Bournemouth want to keep the player for one more season and maybe sell him next summer for a higher value. So it's not an easy one, but Kerkez is there."
