Man Utd AGREE personal terms with €60m star - Fabrizio Romano

Manchester United have agreed on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Ugarte only signed for PSG from Sporting CP last summer, having chosen the Ligue 1 club over Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea.

He cost a transfer fee of €60 million and put pen to paper on a five-year deal, suggesting that he would be playing at the Parc des Princes for the foreseeable future.

And, he enjoyed a fine start to life in Paris. However, he ultimately fell out of favour with head coach Luis Enrique as the season progressed.

The Spanish coach is now happy to sell Ugarte this summer and is pushing the club's hierarchy to reinvest in another midfielder.

PSG want to earn their money back on Ugarte, so they have established a €60m asking price for the ball-winning midfielder.

United have already spent €42.5m on Joshua Zirkzee and €62m on Leny Yoro this month.

As their transfer budget has been depleted, they would need to sell some players before completing another huge deal.

Mason Greenwood has joined Marseille for €26m but that alone is not enough if Erik ten Hag's side want to make some more acquisitions.

Scott McTominay has been linked with a move away and United could expect to receive up to €40m for the Scotsman.

Elsewhere, Aaron Wan-Bissaka could also depart as he fell out of favour under Ten Hag last season.
