Man Utd Transfer News Today: Bruno the new Pogba, €70m Yoro PARTNER targeted, Ornstein BOMB
The latest Manchester United football transfer news updates, with the hottest updates on all the potential new signings and sales at Old Trafford, including Antonio Silva, Jarrad Branthwaite and Bruno Fernandes.
Branthwaite gives Man Utd transfer hope
Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite has given the Red Devils a potential opening to exploit as they continue to chase a second centre-back.
Negotiations with the Toffees have proven tough for Erik ten Hag’s side, with the Merseyside club demanding an outrageous asking price of €82 million (£70m) for the young defender.
Branthwaite is ready to play hardball himself and will refuse a new contract offer at Everton unless they match the wages that were offered to him by Man Utd, The Daily Mail states.
Although he has three years left on his deal with the Liverpool side, this disagreement could provide an opening for the Old Trafford side to exploit.

Yoro’s long-term partner targeted
Man Utd are not exclusively following Branthwaite, with reports in Portugal from O Jogo indicating that young Benfica centre-back Antonio Silva is back on the radar.
Just a matter of months ago, the Portuguese side were demanding that suitors meet Silva’s €100m (£84m) release clause but they are now said to be willing to consider offers half of that.
Silva is seen as a cut-price alternative to Branthwaite, meaning United will not break the bank to sign him.

Wan-Bissaka rejects West Ham – Ornstein
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has followed the example of Harry Maguire last summer by turning down the opportunity to move to West Ham, but he is open to joining Inter in a deal that could send Denzel Dumfries in the opposite direction.
David Ornstein reports on the Athletic that Wan-Bissaka’s stance has far-reaching implications. Not only could Man Utd trade right-backs with Inter in a direct swap – although it is stressed that possibility is not yet being discussed – it also sends Noussair Mazraoui to the Hammers.
United had been interested in following the Morocco international, and are said to “retain an interest”, but with Wan-Bissaka not yet going anywhere, there appears no prospect of a deal.

Sancho to be sacrificed
If Jadon Sancho and Erik ten Hag have, publicly at least, made up, the England international winger could still be on his way out of Man Utd.
FootballTransfers has confirmed that PSG have a very real interest in the former Borussia Dortmund winger, with personal terms over a transfer already agreed.
The Daily Mail reports that Sancho is a player that the Red Devils are willing to sacrifice for around €47.5m(£40m) in order to strengthen other areas of the squad.
Indeed, he might have made amends with Ten Hag, but that has not stopped the Dutchman keeping him well down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Is Bruno Fernandes the new Paul Pogba?
Bruno Fernandes’ attitude has been attacked by pundit Graeme Souness, who became infamous for his verbal assaults on Paul Pogba.
“When you look at leaders in the modern game, one example is at Manchester United which is one of the biggest institutions in world football,” former Liverpool star Souness told the Three Up Front podcast.
“The club captain is Bruno Fernandes. When they were 3-0 down against Liverpool a couple of seasons ago, he just threw the towel in… he's the captain! If anything, he should still be contributing, running around with enthusiasm and helping his teammates.
“I don't think Fernandes can change that aspect of himself – it's part of him. When he's shrugging his shoulders and throwing his arms around, that's just him.”
Maguire: I’m part of Man Utd’s future
In an interview with Sky Sports, Harry Maguire has issued a statement indicating he has no plans leaving Man Utd, despite falling out of favour with Ten Hag.
“Everything I've heard and the action I've been shown from the club, I'm part of the future and it is time to crack on and make this club successful again, challenging for the big trophies. That's what this club demands,” he said.
Last summer, Maguire was linked with a possible move to West Ham.
Hugill completes Wigan loan
Striker Joe Hugill has moved to Wigan on a one-year loan deal.
The highly rated youngster said: "I am very delighted to be here. It's been a long time coming, but I am over the moon to get it done, and can't wait to get started.
"To get the number nine shirt is a massive honour, and I will wear it with pride. Hopefully, I can show what I can do with it."
Wigan manager Shaun Maloney said: “I am delighted that we’ve managed to sign Joe. He’ll be a great addition to the group, and I am looking forward to working with him.
“He is a hard-working number nine and has been a natural goal-scorer throughout his time at Manchester United. He has a lot of strong attributes and I am really happy to have him here.”
