Man Utd Transfer News Today: Romano SURPRISE, Ugarte ALTERNATIVE, €200m bid REJECTED
The latest Man Utd football transfer news updates, with the hottest updates on all the potential new signings and sales at Old Trafford, including Jadon Sancho, interest in a new midfielder and a massive bid.
New Ugarte alternative
FootballTransfers has exclusively revealed that Morten Hjulmand of Sporting CP is a potential transfer candidate for Man Utd this summer as a deal for PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte remains deadlocked.
United want the Uruguay international midfielder but the prospect of a deal being struck is limited as PSG continue to stick by their €70 million asking price.
While Monaco have told United that they will demand €35m for Youssouf Fofana and Sofyan Amrabat of Fiorentina continues to be linked with an Old Trafford return, a deal could be struck for Hjulmand, who has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €17.3m.

Romano drops Jadon Sancho bomb
Jadon Sancho’s transfer to PSG is not nearly as close as has been reported, according to Fabrizio Romano.
While Sancho is said to have agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 champions, Romano states that no concrete offer has yet been made by the Parc des Princes side.
“Jadon Sancho remains on the list of PSG, but there’s still no direct contact made with Manchester United, so it’s not a proper negotiation,” Romano says. “The dream target was Khvicha Kvaratskhelia but Napoli don’t want him to leave. PSG are considering other options, including Sancho. But it’s just an interest for now.”
Sky Sports reports that PSG, Dortmund and Juventus are all interested in the England winger but none are prepared to meet Man Utd’s valuation of €47.5m.
Double bid rejected
Manchester United will not entertain offers for star duo Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford this summer.
That is according to Give Me Sport, who report that Erik ten Hag has made it clear that he will not accept either of the players leaving.
Ten Hag feels that even though there is over a month left in the transfer window, there will not be enough time to adequately replace Fernandes or Rashford if they are sold.
PSG are said to have been weighing up the possibility of a double deal for the Man Utd stars but their interest has cooled after learning that the Premier League side are adamant about their pricing.
Mazroui interest arises
Manchester United could sign Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich should they find a way to offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to a report from The Mirror.
It reports: “Manchester United must first sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka if they want to sign Bayern Munich right-back Mazraoui.
“Erik ten Hag is keen to be reunited with Mazraoui, with whom he worked at Ajax, with Bayern willing to sell the Morocco international for a fee of around €30m.”
Man Utd have failed to get a deal with Bayern over the line for Netherlands centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, but there is more of an appetite to complete a move for Mazraoui, who has been on the periphery at the Allianz Arena.
