Man Utd Transfer News Today: Zirkzee SOON, Sancho EXIT, Greenwood BID, Rashford PLAN B
The latest Manchester United football transfer news updates, with the hottest updates on all the potential new signings and sales at Old Trafford, including Joshua Zirkzee, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.
Zirkzee close to Man Utd move
Man Utd are poised to complete a deal for Bologna centre-forward Joshua Zirkzee, with everything falling into place for the Netherlands international forward to complete his move to Old Trafford.
Football transfer news reporter Fabrizio Romano says the deal is close and Man Utd are “moving quickly” to get it sorted.

“It’s been a really important couple of days on Joshua Zirkzee. Manchester United are getting everything ready to make a deal work. Now we can say Zirkzee is one step away from becoming a Man Utd player,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.
“It’s expected to happen and in the next few days. They’ve got an agreement with him – contract length, salary, all the details – they’ve got the green light of the player.
“They already had the green light from Matthijs de Ligt, who remains another top target, but now it’s also from Zirkzee. Both players say yes to Manchester United.

“For Zirkzee, there’s also an agreement with the agent, Kia Joorabchian, who has an excellent relationship with the Man Utd board.
“Man Utd are going very quick, very fast, for this deal.
“A here we go is expected soon.”
On top of this, AC Milan adviser Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who Zirkzee has been compared to, has admitted the Rossoneri have taken a step back from the deal.
“It's over. Zirkzee is in the past. We have another name for the attack but I won't say it. Signings will arrive but there is no rush,” Ibra said.
Branthwaite talks planned
Man Utd will hold talks on Monday over a potential transfer for Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite, the Daily Mail reports.
United have already made offers for the centre-back, but these have not come close to the Toffees' expectations and have been swiftly rejected. They are now holding internal discussions to determine if they should make another offer.
Although the Red Devils are closing in on a deal for Bayern Munich centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, this transfer is thought to be independent from that transfer.
Marseille make Greenwood proposal
Mason Greenwood could be making his way to Marseille this summer, with Roberto De Zerbi’s side having made an offer for the forward.
Romano tweeted: “Understand Marseille have made verbal proposal to Manchester United for Mason Greenwood.
“Talks underway between the two clubs, Greenwood’s still OM main target with negotiations over fee.
“Man Utd open to loan and obligation to buy but with big sell-on clause.”
Marseille, who are heading for record season ticket sales of around 48,000 this summer, reportedly had a €30 million offer rejected for Greenwood over the weekend.
The Athletic reports Greenwood reported to training on Monday to hold talks over leaving the club.
He held talks with the club's senior leadership team that are said to have been "constructive".
Rashford a ‘Plan B’ for Barcelona
Barcelona will move for Man Utd forward Marcus Rashford if the circumstances are right.
Todo Fichajes says that Rashford is Barca’s preferred option to replace Robert Lewandowski up front at Camp Nou.
However, the Catalans face the challenge of making sales before they can realise such a dream.
Nico Williams if their top target, and while president Joan Laporta has said the money is available to sign the Spain Euro 2024, sealing transfers for both the Basque and the England international promises to be a difficult operation.
Sancho to Juventus
Jadon Sancho’s potential move to Juventus remains a possibility, with Corriere dello Sport reporting that the Turin club are formulating a bid for the England winger.
A permanent deal this summer is not on the cards. Man Utd want around €40-50m outright for the player, but the Serie A side are only willing to offer a loan with an option to buy next summer.
According to the Italian paper, United are not interested in this solution at present.
A deal, however, could be triggered if Juventus can Federico Chiesa, and ideally some squad players, like Weston McKennie and former Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny.
