Xavi Simons snubs Man Utd - for now
Xavi Simons has decided to spend another season at RB Leipzig, but this does not preclude a future move to Manchester United.
The transfer saga surrounding the Dutch superstar is finally set to come to a conclusion, and a surprising one at that. Despite a lucrative offer from Bayern Munich and interest from the Premier League, Simons has decided to remain at RB Leipzig.
PSG are set to renew their loan agreement with the Red Bulls, with Simons communicating his desire to remain in Saxony for 12 more months. Leipzig coach Marco Rose has confirmed that the 21-year-old has "'decided to spend another year in Leipzig - to become a leading player with us, to take on responsibility."

This is a major coup for Leipzig, who have been working hard behind the scenes to make the seemingly impossible possible. Simons put up impressive numbers last season, notching 10 goals and 15 assists, and this made Europe's elite take note.
One crucial detail, however, is that his return to Red Bull Arena is once again only temporary.
Simons won't stay beyond 2025
According to Fabrizio Romano, Simons' new loan will not include a clause that would allow Leipzig to sign him permanently next summer, meaning that his adventure in eastern Germany will likely come to an end for good in 2025.
Leipzig simply can't compete with the financial might of Europe's elite and PSG will look to cash in on the Dutchman next year. This tees up an exciting scenario, with the player surely set for another summer transfer saga.
