CONFIRMED: Nice reject Todibo proposals after Man Utd transfer collapse

Jean-Clair Todibo’s future at Nice is still unclear after a number of moves failed to materialise in recent days, FootballTransfers understands.

Todibo was initially a high-profile target for Manchester United, however UEFA have prevented any move from happening due to Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s involvement with Nice as well as at Old Trafford.

United’s inability to sign Todibo has led to other clubs attempting to swoop for Todibo, with West Ham among the sides who have made an approach for the Frenchman.

However, reports have claimed that the Hammers have had a €35 million offer rejected by Nice, while the Premier League side would likely have to sell before any progress can be made, after the signing of Max Kilman.

Along with West Ham, Juventus have also seen a proposal rejected by Nice for a loan deal with an option to buy, with the Italian giants also looking to finalise a deal for Todibo’s teammate in Khephren Thuram.

A number of clubs such as Chelsea and Tottenham have also previously scouted Todibo, however neither are looking to move for the 24-year-old this summer.

Todibo transfer saga set to continue into summer

Todibo looks likely to leave Nice this summer, having initially been considered to depart last summer, although the French side may have to reconsider their asking price to secure his sale.

The French international still has three years remaining on his contract and has been a focal point of the Nice side which conceded the least amount of goals in Ligue 1 last season.

Teams are expected to continue to push for Todibo, with Juve potentially looking to sell Dean Huijsen in order to fund a move, while West Ham are not looking to give up on signing the Nice star either.

However, the player has not publicly pushed for a move and there is a possibility he could still remain at the club, with United firmly out of the race unless UEFA’s stance on the matter changes.
