Victor Osimhen’s summer transfer saga is close to drawing to a conclusion, with Napoli expecting a €130 million bid imminently for the striker.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have chased Osimhen for much of the summer, but none of the three Premier League clubs have been willing to match Napoli’s €130m asking price – which matches the release fee in the player’s contract.

PSG have also been monitoring the 25-year-old forward, whose Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €71.1m, but they too are unwilling to meet the demand of the Serie A club.

Napoli have explored the possibility of doing a deal at €100m, but this also seems impossible, with SportsMediaset reporting the biggest offer has come from Arsenal at €70m – below the striker’s FootballTransfers valuation.

This offer “was not even taken into consideration” by the Serie A side.

As such, the player’s “dream” move to the Premier League is said to be “evaporating”.

Osimhen to be 'showered with gold'

Napoli need to sell Osimhen, though. They have a gentleman’s agreement that the player leaves this summer, but also because the player’s €10m salary does not fit into the club’s finances.

As such, the Saudi Pro League, whose market opens on 17 July, is looking an increasingly likely destination for the striker.

Al-Hilal are ready to pay the whole €130m and are, according to the Italian source, “ready to shower Osimhen in gold”.

For his part, Osimhen is still hoping that a deal with the Premier League can be done, but with pre-season beginning at Napoli next week, he appears to be running out of time.

Saturday's Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Arsenal are still monitoring the situation of the hitman but are only willing to “invest much less” than Napoli’s desire – a fact that tallies with the previous report.

Meanwhile, PSG continue to lurk in the background, waiting to make a potential deal.

Osimhen to the Saudi Pro League, therefore, looks hot.
