Osimhen makes Chelsea and Man Utd transfer priority clear

Victor Osimhen is waiting for Premier League offers before making a decision on a potential Saudi transfer, according to Italian media.

The Napoli sharpshooter's transfer saga is still far from being resolved. The 2023 Serie A champions have an agreement with Osimhen that he will be allowed to leave this summer but precious little in terms of a concrete move has thus far materialised.

While Napoli had initially insisted that interested clubs would have to pay his €130 million release clause in full, it is now being increasingly reported that the Italians would be willing to accept €100m due to the lack of suitors.

The problem is that this is still considered too much by most clubs after Osimhen endured an underwhelming season, which contributed to Napoli slipping from the summit of Serie A down to tenth.

However, as far as the player is concerned, he is still desperate to move to the Premier League this summer.

Osimhen wants EPL, but does the EPL want Osimhen?

At least that is according to La Repubblica, which reports that the Nigerian is waiting for offers from England to arrive before giving consideration to a Saudi transfer. Chelsea and Man Utd are both named as clubs Osimhen wants to join.

It has previously been asserted that Saudi giants Al-Hilal would be willing to 'shower Osimhen in gold,' but the player evidently still dreams of playing in the Premier League.

PSG are lurking in the background and keeping an eye on the situation, but they too have yet to make a concrete move for the 25-year-old. Napoli, for their part, are keen to shift Osimhen's massive wages and free up funds so that they can provide new coach Antonio Conte with funds to bolster his side.

Romelu Lukaku is reportedly waiting in the wings to reunite with his former Inter boss, but Napoli won't proceed with the transfer until Osimhen has been sold. The Naples outfit are 'ready to turn the page' and move on from their star striker.
