Arsenal in 'pole position' to sign free agent Rabiot as agent speaks out
Arsenal are one of the clubs leading the chase for Adrien Rabiot, according to reports.
The midfielder left Juventus at the end of his contract and now the Gunners are making their intentions clear to sign him, Italian publication Gazzetta claims.
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is looking to strengthen his squad after the club recently secured their first outfield signing by way of defender Riccardo Calafiori. The North London side are now pursuing Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino.

Adrien Rabiot's agent speaks on rumours
Rabiot's agent and mother, Veronique Rabiot, opened up on the rumours regarding her son via the Gazzetta: "In fact, I am talking to certain clubs, but then some media attribute me to contacts with other teams that I do not speak to.
"So I suppose that other people speak for me. But since the beginning of Adrien's career, I have been the only interlocutor with the clubs, and if a club has any interest they must speak directly to me."
Five years ago Rabiot left Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent to join Juventus, where he started to earn regular places in the France national squad.
It's believed that the midfielder aims to continue playing with his home nation and wishes to find a club playing in the Champions League.
