Osimhen AND Omorodion? Chelsea could sign BOTH, transfer expert says
Victor Osimhen could still sign for Chelsea even if the Blues also complete a deal to add Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion to their ranks.
That is according to transfer news expert Ben Jacobs, who indicates that Chelsea are optimistic that signing Omorodion would actually help in the pursuit of Napoli striker Osimhen, who has been their main target for the No.9 role for several months now.
The Nigeria international forward has been priced out of a move to the Blues this summer by Napoli’s insistence that they pay €120 million to match the release fee of his contract. This has also put off Arsenal, while PSG have an agreement with the player over a transfer but have been persistently frustrated by the Serie A club.

Chelsea have had no such problems with Omorodion. A deal worth a reported €40m has been struck with Atletico Madrid and the Spain U23 striker is set to follow former Barcelona youngster Marc Guiu to the club this summer.
With Nicolas Jackson already at Stamford Bridge, this would appear to give Enzo Maresca a fair unit of three centre-forwards to pick from, yet remarkably Jacobs says that a deal for Samu would not signal the end of their affair with Osimhen.
“While Chelsea's current focus is on securing Samu's signature, sources have confirmed that talks over Osimhen are still ongoing and club officials do not feel as though it is one or the other. Indeed, there is even hope that signing Samu could help them land the Napoli forward,” Jacobs writes for 90Mins.

Can Chelsea sign Osimhen and Omorodion?
One possibility that Chelsea, who will likely sell Romelu Lukaku to Napoli, are holding out for is Osimhen softening his stance on a loan transfer.
The 25-year-old has previously indicated that he wants to cut his ties with Antonio Conte’s side definitively this summer and wants the assurance of a permanent deal. A loan, though, would make him more affordable for the Stamford Bridge side.
Indeed, with Napoli playing hardball over negotiations, there is no guarantee Osimhen will get the transfer of his dreams, but with Chelsea prepared to bide their time, everyone is hoping that their patience pays off.
