The Cherries are in the market for a new striker after selling Solanke to Tottenham in a club-record deal that could potentially rise to as high as €75 million.

The departure of their talismanic centre-forward has left Bournemouth with a gaping hole that urgently needs filling. To that end, Andoni Iraola and the club's recruitment team are sounding out the market for potential opportunities.

According to Calciomercato, one of those opportunities is Tammy Abraham, a player made available for transfer by Roma following the big-money arrival of Artem Dovbyk.

The former Chelsea wonderkid has often been linked with a Premier League return and could, at last, make his comeback this summer.

Bournemouth face Milan competition

According to the Italian outlet, Bournemouth hold a credible interest in the 26-year-old. The Cherries' recruitment is now, of course, spearheaded by Tiago Pinto who was the man who brought Abraham to Roma in 2021, so they may have an ace up their sleeves.

However, there is an acknowledgement that the striker is a man in demand. AC Milan have been heavily linked after missing out on Joshua Zirkzee, though they are looking for a loan with a buy option, while Roma are demanding a purchase obligation or permanent deal.

Additionally, there is competition from other Premier League clubs. Everton and Leicester are also said to be interested in Abraham. At the moment, it is claimed that he is giving priority to Milan.

Abraham is keen to ensure that his next move is the right one after enduring a difficult season ruined by injuries. The Englishman only made 12 appearances in 2023/24, scoring once in 321 minutes of football.
