Gallagher has been with Chelsea from a young age and has an emotional connection with the fanbase. It's been reported that he would rather stay and fight for his place.
Newcastle fullback and former Atletico star Kieran Trippier recommended he make the move, after he himself enjoyed a fruitful time there.
The 24-year-old has been at Chelsea since he was a youth player from 2008.

Gallagher has also won 13 caps for the England national team and he is in the squad for Euro 2024 this summer.
