Omorodion was expected to join the Blues from Atletico Madrid for €40 million, but the move is now off after a dispute regarding personal terms, according to David Ornstein.

Reports from Spain also indicate that Omorodion may have failed his medical at Chelsea, with the 20-year-old now expected to remain at the Wanda Metropolitano for the 2024-25 campaign.

Following the collapse of Omorodion’s move to Chelsea, there are doubts over whether Atletico Madrid will be able to sign both Julian Alvarez and Conor Gallagher.

The Spanish giants have agreed to purchase the former from Manchester City for an initial €75m and the latter from Chelsea for €42m, however there is now concern over whether the deals will formally go through.

After all, Atleti were only willing to let Omorodion leave due to Alvarez’s arrival, while the 20-year-old’s move to Stamford Bridge was set to play a key role in Gallagher’s switch to the Spanish capital.

“Samu Omorodion deal collapsing and the two clubs don’t want Gallagher and Julian Alvarez deals to collapse too…

“Joao Felix, being discussed with Jorge Mendes in London.”

Felix spent the second half of the 2022-23 season on loan at Chelsea, and he mustered four goals in 20 appearances for the west London club.

However, the Blues opted against signing him on a permanent deal last summer, largely due to the arrival of France international Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig.
