Chelsea have numerous players up for sale in the final week of the transfer window, with Newcastle apparently ready to answer the Blues’ prayers by making a string of signings.

According to reports from Fichajes, Newcastle are seeking to complete a treble swoop of Chelsea outcasts, who are in what has been dubbed the ‘Bomb Squad’ of the Stamford Bridge side.

The Blues have an enormous squad that needs cut down before the end of August, and with Newcastle seeking additional depth, a trio of deals could be struck.

Sterling heads Newcastle shopping list

It is claimed that Raheem Sterling is one of their targets. Having been left out of the Chelsea squad to face Manchester City last weekend, the England winger released a statement indicating that he was not happy with the situation and felt he was owed an explanation by manager Enzo Maresca.

Although Sterling is likely to make Chelsea’s Premier League squad should he remain at the club, he is unlikely to have a prominent role under Maresca, who did not even use him in the Conference League win over Servette in midweek.

Newcastle are also seeking a deal for Noni Madueke, who has struggled to have an impact at Chelsea since arriving 18 months ago. Maresca seemed to have a little dig at the player during a press conference earlier this week, indicating that he needs to become more consistent.

Finally, Axel Disasi is a player linked with the St James’ Park side. Newcastle are known to want to bolster their defensive options, and the former Monaco man is a player they could turn to with Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles both out injured.

These players have an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) worth more than a combined €100 million, with Sterling alone accounting for €52.1m of this.
