Romano confirms Sterling has been 'offered' to Arsenal
Chelsea have offered Arsenal the chance to sign Raheem Sterling as they continue looking to offload the ex-England international.
Sterling joined Chelsea for €56.4 million in 2022, but he has been excluded by Enzo Maresca and the Blues are hoping to find a solution before the end of Deadline Day.
Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Manchester United, Juventus and Barcelona have all been linked with signing Sterling over the past few weeks, and Arsenal are now assessing whether or not to pursue the Chelsea winger.

That is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who posted on X: “Arsenal are discussing internally about Raheem Sterling as the opportunity has been offered again this morning.
“Chelsea want to find a solution for Raheem as he won’t be included in squad again if he stays, Enzo Maresca said.
“Sterling, assessing options to decide soon.”

A swap deal involving Sterling and Man Utd outcast Jadon Sancho has also been mooted as an option, but Juventus are also keen on signing Sancho, while Chelsea are currently focused on talks with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
Arsenal have signed Riccardo Calafiori, David Raya and Mikel Merino so far this summer, but they are yet to add a new forward.
Athletic Club star Nico Williams was their priority target, however he is settled in Spain and a move for Sterling is now being considered as a result.
What has Enzo Maresca said about Raheem Sterling?
Ahead of Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Servette on Thursday night, Maresca told the media: “I prefer to be honest with players. The ones who are not involved are not going to be involved and they won't get any minutes if they stay.
“I don't know what happens when the window closes if they are still here. The ones who will get minutes are the ones I think can help us.”
He continued: “Raheem is a fantastic guy who has trained very well. Every manager has a different idea and he is the kind of winger that is not one that I like. History and numbers speak for Raheem. He knows exactly what he needs to do.
“The rest are training apart, they are not going to get minutes. I have been clear and honest with them.”
