Josh Acheampong wanted

Chelsea youngster Josh Acheampong is being watched by both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, according to The Independent’s Miguel Delaney.

The 18-year-old defender made his senior Blues debut against Tottenham Hotspur last season and is widely considered to be one of the club’s most promising academy players.

However, Real Madrid and PSG are eyeing a possible move amid Chelsea’s recent push to sell their academy graduates.

Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall and Omari Hutchinson have all departed this summer, while Conor Gallagher, Trevoh Chalobah and Armando Broja are expected to follow.

Chelsea have secured an agreement to sign yet another youngster, with Samu Omorodion set to join the club from Atletico Madrid.

Enzo Maresca’s side have agreed to pay a fixed fee of €40m for the Spaniard, with Conor Gallagher heading in the opposite direction for the same price.

Omorodion will leave Atleti without making a single appearance for the club, having spent last season on loan at Alaves following his move from Granada in 2023.

Trevoh Chalobah open to exit

Trevoh Chalobah is reportedly now open to leaving Chelsea after his omission from the club’s squad for their pre-season tour of the USA.

The Englishman was previously eager to remain at Stamford Bridge, but he is now willing to leave, according to HITC.

West Ham United, Fulham and Crystal Palace are all said to be keen on signing Chalobah this summer.

Enzo Fernandez to be handed vice-captaincy role

Enzo Fernandez is expected to be appointed as one of Chrlsea’s vice-captains for the upcoming season, as per The Times.

The 23-year-old live-streamed a racist chant directed at France players during Argentina’s Copa America celebrations earlier this summer, which prompted Chelsea team-mate Wesley Fofana to label the song as “uninhibited racism.”

Fernandez subsequently apologised to his French team-mates and Maresca has now reportedly decided to include the ex-Benfica star in Chelsea’s leadership group for the new season.
