Newcastle United are advancing in their deal for Marc Guehi and are seriously considering an offer for Chelsea's Noni Madueke, FootballTransfers has been told.

It's been a long, drawn-out saga for Eddie Howe's club, but as well as the Crystal Palace defender they want a right-winger.

Newcastle do have a remaining budget to sign a right winger, with Madueke currently a major target for the club.

However, Chelsea are demanding an upfront fee of at least €59m (£50m). The idea of a loan-with-obligation has been suggested, but the Blues will ask for a premium if that is the case.

Furthermore, Madueke is not expected to make a push away from Stamford Bridge, despite the €60m (£51m) addition of Pedro Neto in his position, and will fight to keep his place at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea could move on Disasi

Chelsea defender Axel Disasi is another player who is not in Enzo Maresca’s long-term plans. The Frencham is likely to be moved on after the Italian assed him in pre-season.

Disasi joined the Blues from AS Monaco for €45 million just last summer. He made 44 appearances in all competitions during his debut season at the club.

However, the 26-year-old could be set to depart after just 12 months in west London.

According to The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg, Disasi is not in Maresca’s long-term plans and he could be sold this summer amid interest from Newcastle United.

Chelsea advance on Osimhen

Victor Osimhen’s potential move to Chelsea is in an advanced stage, according to former Nigeria international John Ogu.

In fact, Ogu, who has 26 caps for Nigeria and played with Osimhen on two occasions for the national team, believes the deal is now done.

The 36-year-old used Fabrizio Romano’s famous catchphrase and posted on X: “OSIMHEN TO CHELSEA… Here we go !!!”
