Samu Omorodion back on
Chelsea remain interested in signing Atletico Madrid forward Samu Omorodion, and the Blues remain in discussions to purchase the 20-year-old.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are prepared to pay an initial €35m for Omorodion.
However, Atleti have previously been wanting a fee of at least €80m to sanction a sale, suggesting some wiggle room will be needed in order for a deal to happen.
Regardless, Chelsea are interested in Omorodion and they remain in talks with Atleti as they look to sign the Spaniard.
Meanwhile, Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Chelsea’s opening offer is more likely to be around the €50m mark.
Matt O’Riley wanted
With Gallagher joining Atletico Madrid, Chelsea are targeting a move for Celtic’s Matt O’Riley as his replacement, as per The Sun.
However, the midfielder will reportedly only leave Celtic to become a guaranteed starter elsewhere, which is something the Blues are unlikely to be able to offer.
Southampton, Crystal Palace and Brighton are also interested in the 23-year-old, according to The Sun, while CaughtOffside report that West Ham and Leicester are keen too.
Nico Williams chase over
Nico Williams will stay with Athletic Club this season, disappointing a range of suitors from all over Europe, including Barcelona, PSG, Chelsea and Arsenal.
With a release clause of just €58 million, there were numerous clubs interested in swooping, but he has elected to remain in Bilbao for one additional season, as per Partidazo de COPE.
Barcelona were expected to sign Williams this summer, but the Blaugrana were unable to finalise a deal and the Spain international has decided to stay at Athletic Club.
Dominic Solanke too expensive
Tottenham Hotspur are pushing to sign Bournemouth forward Dominic Solanke, according to The Telegraph.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are interested in re-signing the Englishman, but the Blues have been put off by Bournemouth’s valuation.
