Victor Osimhen BEGGED to join by Chelsea legends
Two Chelsea legends have confirmed they have been trying to convince Napoli's Victor Osimhen to join the Blues.
Osimhen has long been linked with a big money move away the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona; with moves to Manchester United and Real Madrid mooted in the past.
But lately, things have coalesced around Todd Boehly's high-spending Chelsea, with the Nigerian seeming more and more likely to end up in West London.

Now, with a move on the horizon, Osimhen's compatriot Jon Obi Mikel and Chelsea legend has spoken up.
"We don’t really need somebody who’s going to come in and be feeding and creating chances," said Mikel of the Blues, "we want somebody who can finish, score goals, the tap-ins."
Chelsea's Earling Haaland?
Mikel then offered a tantalising comparison for Osimhen's potential impact for the Blues: "Someone like Erling Haaland. That’s something Victor Osimhen will bring to Chelsea."
With 76 goals in 133 games for Napoli, including the 2022/23 Capocannoniere award for top scorer in Serie A as Osimhen led the Neapolitan side to their first title since Diego Maradona, one can see how Osimhen has the potential to score an enormous amount of goals for Enzo Maresca's side.
Mikel made sure to let Chelsea fans know that he is hard at work to convince Osimhen to come to Stamford Bridge: "I’ll make sure I send him those texts messages and calls, making sure Chelsea is his top priority!"
After going through a protracted transfer saga himself, Jon Obi Mikel played 372 times for Chelsea and won just about every trophy available with the Blues, including the 2012 Champions League triumph where he played all 120 minutes of their dramatic shootout win in the final.

However, Mikel revealed that he isn't the only Chelsea legend trying to convince Osimhen to join the Blues.
"Didier [Drogba] is also speaking to him, sharing his own ideas and what the club means to us. We all want to see Victor come to the club."
Drogba ended his Chelsea career with 164 goals in 381 appearances, winning multiple Premier Leagues, FA Cups and of course the 2012 Champions League. He's also one of the greatest African strikers of all time and is undoubtedly one of Osimhen's role models
Mikel and Drogba running propaganda is no doubt useful, but according to the Nigerian, "it seems like [Osimhen] loves the club and wants to come to Chelsea."
