Al-Ahli have told Ivan Toney to make a decision on a Saudi Pro League move today, according to a report.

The Saudi giants' pursuit of the England international has been almost forgotten in recent days due to Al-Ahli also having tabled an official bid for Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian, however, is unwilling to move to the Saudi Pro League at this stage in his career.

This means that the Jeddah side have had to intensify their efforts to land different targets. The most prominent one is, of course, Toney, who has been chased by Al-Ahli for a couple of weeks now.

The 28-year-old has received a 'mouthwatering' contract offer, but he has yet to make a decision on whether to make the move to the Middle East or hope for a late move from Brentford to a Premier League rival.

Chelsea and Man Utd remain interested but have so far refrained from making a move. Now, the player has been told that he must pick his next club expeditiously.

Toney deadline

According to Ben Jacobs, Al-Ahli want a decision from Toney today. The journalist asserts that he has given his okay to the contract terms offered, but the final green light for the transfer is still missing.

An additional problem could be the €60 million price tag Brentford have placed on him. Given his age and expiring contract, this is a fee even the PIF-backed Saudi giants are reluctant to pay.

Al-Ahli are unwilling to wait much longer for Toney and want a final answer by the end of Monday. Fabrizio Romano has revealed that, alongside Osimhen and Toney, the Jeddah outfit also have another unnamed, Europe-based striker on their shortlist of options.

According to Jacobs, the unnamed striker in question could be former Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham. The Roma forward is determined to leave Italy's capital and has been linked with AC Milan and several Premier League sides. Perhaps his future actually lies in Saudi Arabia.
