Ivan Toney has received an eye-watering contract offer from Al-Ahli, according to a report.

The Brentford striker's future remains up in the air. Keen on leaving the Bees and joining a big club, Toney has no shortage of suitors but concrete offers from elite Premier League sides have yet to materialise.

The 28-year-old's age and general Profit and Sustainability concerns mean that the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd have so far refrained from tabling bids despite holding a genuine interest in the forward.

Toney is out of contract next year, so English clubs are prepared to play the waiting game in the hopes that Brentford will soften their stance towards the end of the window. The Bees are still holding firm on a €70 million valuation, but no Premier League side is prepared to pay this.

Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that Toney is also a top target for the Saudi Pro League and it appears that clubs in the Middle East are more than willing to break the bank on the veteran.

Toney receives contract offer

Footmercato now reports that Al-Ahli, one of the four PIF-owned giants, have made contact with Toney and presented an eye-watering contract proposal.

The England star has a three-year deal on the table worth at least €54m over the duration of his time in Jeddah. That amounts to €18m per season or €350,000 per week.

However, the French outlet did not disclose whether or not Toney is willing to accept this offer or what exactly talks between Brentford and Al-Ahli would look like.

It seems that this is only a tentative first step to test the waters regarding the player's openness to moving to the Pro League. Given his desire to play for an elite Premier League side, the 28-year-old may be reluctant to accept this deal with a few weeks still to go in the window.
