How Man City will line up in 2024-25
Manchester City will be gunning for their fifth consecutive Premier League title this season as Pep Guardiola’s side enjoy a period of utter dominance in England.
They have been run extremely close by Arsenal over the past two years, but Man City are the undisputed best team in the English football pyramid and they could make it seven titles in eight years this campaign.
Guardiola’s team have only added Brazilian winger Savinho so far this summer, although they have retained the vast majority of their first-team squad as they prepare for the 2024-25 campaign.

How Man City will line up in 2024-25
One of the biggest question marks regarding Man City is who will start the season as their first-choice goalkeeper. Ederson has held that position since joining the club in 2017, but he has been heavily linked with a summer move to the Saudi Pro League.
If the Brazil international remains at the club, he will be Guardiola’s number one, however Stefan Ortega is waiting in the wings if Ederson leaves.
Man City’s defensive unit is a fluid one that changes every week, but Kyle Walker, Manuel Akanji, Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol are likely to be first choice. John Stones and Nathan Ake will also be key players in 2024-25.
Rodri will start in a defensive midfield role and he could be joined by both Kevin de Bruyne and Phil Foden in the middle of the park.
Bernardo Silva and Jeremy Doku are expected to start as Guardiola’s wing pairing, although Foden could well be deployed out wide, with Mateo Kovacic coming into central midfield.
Summer signing Savinho will feature regularly too, while Oscar Bobb could enjoy a breakout campaign.
Erling Haaland - who has won back-to-back Premier League Golden Boot awards - will be the undisputed starting striker, which has led to questions over Julian Alvarez’s future at Man City.
