Man Utd submit €50m offer for Casemiro replacement
Manchester United have reportedly submitted a €50 million offer for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, despite the imminent arrival of Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte.
The Red Devils have been chasing a new central midfielder for the past few months and FootballTransfers understands that a deal for Ugarte is likely to be finalised before the end of the summer transfer window.
PSG have remained consistent with their €60 million asking price - a figure deemed too steep by Man Utd - but a loan deal with an obligation to buy is now being touted as a legitimate solution.

Ugarte didn’t feature during PSG’s opening Ligue 1 match of the 2024-25 campaign against Le Havre and he isn’t in Luis Enrique’s plans following the arrival of Joao Neves from Benfica.
However, although a deal for Ugarte is inching closer, Man Utd remain interested in Atalanta’s Ederson and they have even submitted a €50m bid for the Brazilian, according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla.
The 25-year-old starred during the Europa League final in May, and he has been on Man Utd’s radar for several months.

In fact, the Red Devils reportedly lodged a proposal to sign him during a meeting to settle paperwork regarding Rasmus Hojlund’s move to Old Trafford last summer.
However, Atalanta are unwilling to sell the Brazil international before the summer transfer window closes, with Teun Koopmeiners set to depart the club for Juventus.
Sander Berge to join Fulham
In addition, Man Utd target Sander Berge is on the verge of joining Fulham for a reported transfer fee of around €23.5m.
As exclusively revealed by The Transfers Podcast, Berge was identified as an alternative to Ugarte, but the Burnley midfielder is now close to sealing a Craven Cottage move, and the deal could be formally announced before their game against Leicester City on Saturday.
