Man Utd ready to sign Ugarte on a permanent deal
Manuel Ugarte is now likely to join Manchester United on a permanent deal following news that Scott McTominay is set to sign for Napoli.
Ugarte, 23, hasn’t featured for Paris Saint-Germain so far this season and he is now on the verge of sealing a long-awaited move to Old Trafford.

The Scotland international is yet to agree to the move, but the expectation is that he will leave the Red Devils and move to Naples. McTominay has made 255 senior appearances for the club, but his time at Old Trafford is set to end in the coming days.
As a result, Man Utd will now be able to sign Ugarte on a permanent deal, despite a potential loan move being explored in recent days.
Romano posted on X (formerly known as Twitter): “Manchester United are set to close Manuel Ugarte deal… and it can be [a] now permanent transfer.

“If all goes to plan with Scott McTominay to Napoli, Man United will proceed with [a] permanent move for Ugarte as PSG wanted.
“Ugarte ONLY wants United, he’s ready to travel.”
Manuel Ugarte to Man Utd?
Ugarte cost PSG €60m last summer and Luis Enrique’s side are currently demanding the same fee as they look to offload him following Joao Neves’ arrival from Benfica.
The Uruguay international is expected to become Man Utd’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
So far this summer, Erik ten Hag has strengthened his first-team squad by adding Lille defender Leny Yoro, Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee and Bayern Munich duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
In addition, Man Utd are expected to sign 16-year-old wonderkid Chido Obi-Martin following his departure from Arsenal at the start of July. He will join the club’s U21 side, with a view to becoming a future first-team starter.
