Fabrizio Romano has confirmed a breakthrough in negotiations between Man Utd and PSG for Manuel Ugarte.

Talks between the two clubs have been at a complete standstill for several weeks but Romano says they have now sprung into action again.

The two European giants are now working on completing a deal that will see Ugarte sign for Man Utd on loan, with an obligation to buy clause attached to the move.

The Uruguay international has been Man Utd’s priority midfield target for over a month, but they have been unable to lower PSG’s €60 million asking price until now.

However, it now seems as though the Red Devils will sign Ugarte on an initial loan deal, with an obligation to buy.

Jadon Sancho to Chelsea?

Man Utd believe that Chelsea could make an offer for Jadon Sancho before the summer transfer window closes, according to The Athletic.

The ex-England international was excluded from Man Utd’s squad to face Fulham on Friday night and he is expected to leave Old Trafford on a permanent deal in the next week-and-a-half.

The Red Devils are reportedly asking for a fee of around €47m for Sancho and several people within the club reportedly think Chelsea will submit a late offer to sign him.

Tyrell Malacia move collapses

PSV Eindhoven briefly considered a summer move for Man Utd left-back Tyrell Malacia, but his fitness problems made a deal impossible, according to Dutch media.

In search for players who can strengthen the defence of the Eindhoven team, the name of Tyrell Malacia has been mentioned at the Philips Stadium. This is reported by journalist Mounir Boualin of Soccernews. However, Malacia has not become a concrete option for the Brabant club, which has to do with a specific reason.

According to Soccernews, PSV discovered that Malacia hasn’t fully recovered from his latest injury set-back and they opted against seriously pursuing a move.

The Dutchman hasn’t featured since May 2023 and he missed the entirety of last season due to a knee injury.

Sander Berge to join Fulham

Man Utd target Sander Berge is on the verge of joining Fulham, as per multiple reports.

Erik ten Hag’s side are interested in the Burnley midfielder, but he is set to move to Craven Cottage within the next few days.

Fulham moved swiftly to reach an agreement for Berge after failing in their attempts to sign Man Utd midfielder Scott McTominay.
