Ugarte deal on brink

The Red Devils' deal for Manuel Ugarte could be on the brink after Fabrizio Romano revealed that Casemiro could be set to stay despite the constant links with a move to Saudi.

The Red Devils are in the market for a midfielder - thought to be their pritoty position - but are tight on budget following further arrivals to their squad.

The club are to set bring in Bayern Munich duo Matthijs de Ligt for €45 million plus a potential €5m and Noussair Mazraoui in for €15m plus €5m in add-ons for the full-back.

Romano said "There are no bids at the moment for Casemiro. Ten Hag confirmed he's expecting him to stay, but keep an eye on Scott McTominay.

"Outgoings are needed to pursue the deal for Manuel Ugarte."

Talks have been ongoing for several weeks, but Man Utd are unwilling to meet PSG’s demands of a transfer fee of around €60 million, while the Ligue 1 club have told FootballTransfers that they will not lower that fee and they have a number of clubs looking at the former Sporting CP man as well.

Triple deal agreed

Man Utd have reached agreements with Bayern Munich over Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, according to David Ornstein. The Red Devils will pay up to €50 million for the Dutchman and €20m for the Moroccan.

The latter's move is contingent on Aaron Wan-Bissaka joining West Ham, which is now only a matter of time. Fabrizio Romano has dropped his 'here we go' on this particular transfer.

Mario Hermoso talks opened

Man Utd are making a play to sign experienced Spanish defender Mario Hermoso, who is available on a free transfer after he left Atletico Madrid in the summer.

Journalist Maximo de la Cruz Ramirez Ramirez reports: "Man Utd have initiated official contact with Mario Hermoso, the former Atletico Madrid player.
