Lopetegui persuades Soler to leave PSG for West Ham
West Ham are working hard to bring Carlos Soler from Paris Saint-Germain for the Premier League side, The Transfers Podcast understands.

New Hammers manager Julen Lopetegui has called the Spain international directly in an attempt to persuade Soler and his girlfriend to move to London.
Soler, 27, is understood to be on a net salary of €5 million at the Parc des Princes but has not managed to consistently nail down a first-team spot.

He has started only 26 Ligue 1 matches and two Champions League games in his two seasons at the club and PSG are open to selling him, as they were last summer.
The French champions are asking for a fee of around €25 million for Soler.
West Ham deal close but not yet done
Negotiations between the clubs are close to completion, but West Ham owner David Sullivan is waiting for a player to be sold before approving the incoming deal.
“As recently as last summer, he had an Estimated Transfer Value of €36 million,” FootballTransfers co-founder Paul Macdonald tells the Transfers Podcast.

“Given his complete lack of game time and ability to hold down a place, we've got him now valued at €16.7 million.
“He'll be 28 in January as well, which could be a factor as to why his valuation has fallen to that level.”
