Osimhen to Arsenal: Romano drops update that will excite Chelsea fans
Arsenal are not interested in signing Victor Osimhen, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Napoli sharpshooter's future remains the subject of heated speculation. With just a week left in the transfer window, Osimhen's next move is still not known, but the Nigerian continues to push for a transfer.
Napoli want to get the 25-year-old off the books, but seemingly nobody is willing to compromise. The Serie A outfit are still demanding a hefty fee for Osimhen, while the player is not willing to forego his sizeable salary.

Osimhen had agreed terms with PSG, but the French outfit baulked at Napoli's demands. Chelsea remain in talks with Napoli as the latter are trying to sign Romelu Lukaku, but the Blues are not willing to make a permanent offer for the 25-year-old - and they also don't want to pay his massive wages.
This apparent impasse has seen links to Arsenal flare up again in recent days. The Gunners, it has been claimed, would be able to pay for the striker.
Romano on Osimhen
According to Fabrizio Romano, however, the Gunners are not in for Osimhen. In fact, the transfer expert reports that absolutely nothing has changed regarding the situation of the player.
The Italian continues to insist that this transfer saga will go down right to the final few days of the transfer window. “I can guarantee that as of today, there is still no substantial update on Victor Osimhen,” he told CaughtOffside.

“I know there are many Chelsea fans that keep asking, but Osimhen to Chelsea is only a topic for the final days of the window, not today, not yesterday, not tomorrow, for the final days alone.
“Osimhen doesn’t want to go on loan and doesn’t want to reduce his salary, so let’s see if they can find a way, or maybe if some other door could open for Osimhen.
“The only club to have an agreement on the contract this summer was Paris Saint-Germain in July, then talks between PSG and Napoli were very complicated, and so PSG left the negotiations.
“There is nothing regarding Arsenal’s reported interest from what I know, and it’s also not about which team are the favourites to sign him, it’s about who can agree with Napoli and with the player.
