Real Madrid are hoping to sign Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies on a free transfer next summer, but Arsenal are also interested in submitting an offer to the Canadian.

Davies, 25, has less than 12 months remaining on his current deal at the Allianz Arena and he looks set to reject a contract extension in favour of leaving the club on a Bosman deal.

Real Madrid are considered to be the frontrunners for his signature, but Los Blancos decided against signing Davies this summer as they eye a free transfer move next year.

However, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are set to face significant competition from a host of Premier League sides.

While Davies is reportedly keen to seal a Santiago Bernabeu switch, his head could be turned amid interest from Manchester City and Arsenal.

Both clubs are monitoring his situation at Bayern and are considering making him an offer ahead of next summer.

That is according to HITC, who report that Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have also shown an interest in Davies over the past 18 months.

Alphonso Davies to leave Bayern Munich?

The Canada international has made 197 appearances for Bayern since arriving from Vancouver Whitecaps in January 2019, while he has scored 11 goals and provided 31 assists for the club.

However, Davies, who has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €40.5 million, is expected to leave the Bavarian outfit in 2025 and Real Madrid are hoping to tie him down to a pre-contract agreement in January.

Los Blancos already have Ferland Mendy, David Alaba and Fran Garcia as left-back options, but they are eager to bolster their defensive options.

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold has been named as a prominent right-back target for the Spanish giants, while Arsenal star William Saliba is also wanted following their failure to land Leny Yoro this summer.

The Frenchman was expected to join Real Madrid, but Man Utd beat Ancelotti’s side to his signature and completed a deal for an initial transfer fee of €62m.
