Arsenal's interest in Man Utd target CONFIRMED
Arsenal were interested in signing Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze during the summer transfer window, but the Gunners opted against seriously pursuing a move for the England star.
Eze, 26, was expected to leave Selhurst Park this summer, however he was unable to secure a transfer away, despite significant interest from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.
FootballTransfers understands that Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur were all interested in signing Eze this year, but they weren’t able to match Crystal Palace’s asking price.

Arsenal expert Charles Watts has now confirmed to CaughtOffside that Mikel Arteta’s side were keen on landing Eze this summer.
However, if the Gunners want to sign the England international in 2025, they will face competition from Manchester United.
The Red Devils are eager to continue bolstering their first-team squad and they have identified Eze as a key target for next summer.

The Crystal Palace star has an €80 million release clause which can be triggered in 2025 and Man Utd are keeping tabs on his situation at Crystal Palace as they eye a possible move for the ex-QPR star.
Steve Parish on Eberechi Eze
Confirmation of Arsenal’s interest in Eze comes following Steve Parish’s recent comments regarding Crystal Palace’s key man.
The Eagles co-owner and chairman told Sky Sports: “I was really worried from a club point of view of losing Michael [Olise] and Ebbs [Eberechi Eze] in the same window and we didn't have in Ebbs the interest that I thought we would have.
“I was astounded. Genuinely astounded. I mean, the guy's just an outstanding footballer, an outstanding person.”
Despite a lack of concrete interest this summer, Eze is likely to be targeted by England’s biggest clubs next summer if he continues his immense form.
