Arsenal 'seriously interested' in signing €100m midfielder
Arsenal are “seriously interested” in signing Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra, according to reports.
The 21-year-old, who has a €100 million release clause, has been linked with numerous top clubs over the past year and Arsenal have stepped up their interest amid the uncertain futures of Jorginho and Thomas Partey.
Galatasaray are interested in signing Jorginho, but the Gunners are eager to retain the Italian, despite the fact his current deal is due to expire next summer.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are prepared to let Partey leave in 2025 and FootballTransfers has been informed that Mikel Arteta’s side will not offer the ex-Atletico Madrid star a new contract.
As a result, signing a new central midfielder is on the Gunners’ agenda and Guerra is one of their targets, according to CaughtOffside.
Manchester United, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United were all linked with the Spain U21 international last year, while Aston Villa are reportedly keen to rival Arsenal for his signature in 2025.

However, Guerra currently favours a move to Arsenal, as per CaughtOffside, largely due to Gunners boss Arteta.
The Spaniard has made 55 first-team appearances for Valencia, scoring five goals and providing one assist, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €18.4m.
Although Guerra’s current contract with Valencia includes a €100m release clause, the Spanish giants will reportedly consider a sale if they receive an offer in the region of €30m.
The 21-year-old was close to joining Atletico Madrid during the summer transfer window, but Diego Simeone’s side cancelled the move in order to complete a deal for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.
Arsenal’s 2025 transfer plans
In addition to Guerra, Arsenal are likely to rekindle their interest in RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko last summer.
The Gunners were eager to sign Sesko this year, but the Slovenia international opted to snub Premier league interest in favour of signing a contract extension at Leipzig.
Sporting CP goal machine Viktor Gyokeres may be turned to if Arsenal are unable to agree a deal for Sesko, while Nico Williams also remains a target.
