EA Sports FC 25 wonderkids: The 20 best young midfielders

Jude Bellingham has the highest-rated potential of any wonderkid midfielder on EA Sports FC 25.

The Real Madrid superstar has a base rating of 90, and his potential rating in Career Mode stands at a massive 94. As a result, EA Sports consider him to be the most talented U21 midfielder in world football.

Each year, players are given a ‘potential’ rating in Career Mode to go alongside their regular rating in Kick Off and Ultimate Team. This makes Career Mode a unique experience as EA FC 25 players are able to see young stars increase in rating every season.

Bellingham has edged ahead of childhood friend Jamal Musiala this year. The Bayern Munich star had the highest potential of any U21 midfielder in EA FC 24, but he has dropped to second this time around. His potential this year is 93.

In third place is Musiala’s Germany team-mate Florian Wirtz, who helped Bayer Leverkusen win the Bundesliga with an Invincible season in 2023-24. His EA FC 25 Career Mode potential is 92.

Warren Zaire-Emery (PSG), Arda Guler (Real Madrid), Gavi (Barcelona), Pedri (Barcelona) and Eduardo Camavinga (Real Madrid) all have 90 potential.

Nico Williams and Xavi Simons have been given a potential rating of 89 this year, narrowly ahead of both Joao Neves and Matias Soule - who both have 88 potential.

Franco Mastantuono, Fermin Lopez, Assan Ouedraogo, Claudio Echeverri, Assane Diao, Kendry Paez, Oscar Gloukh and Lucas Bergvall complete the top 20.
