Bruno Fernandes a 'big problem' for Man Utd
Bruno Fernandes is currently the worst finisher in Europe's top-five leagues - and this is a big problem for Manchester United.
The attacking midfielder has been one of the Red Devils' most reliable players since joining the club in January 2020. Club captain since last season, Fernandes is one of the first names on the teamsheet as far as Erik ten Hag is concerned.
And yet, his start to the new campaign can be described as problematic for one particular reason. While the 30-year-old has already notched four assists in seven appearances so far, Fernandes has yet to actually find the back of the net himself.

In fact, the Portugal international has been really poor in front of goal. According to Sky Sports, he has taken the most shots without scoring out of any player in Europe's top-five leagues.
Bruno has missed big chances against the likes of Fulham and Crystal Palace and the latter game in particular has caused some consternation at Man Utd.
Man Utd finishing could cost Ten Hag
Man Utd's finishing in general this term has been below par. Like Fernandes, new striker signing Joshua Zirkzee has missed several 'big chances,' while Amad Diallo has also not been particularly prolific.
Marcus Rashford had his brief run of form halted by Erik ten Hag when he dropped him for the Palace fixture and Alejandro Garnacho has yet to get back to his best after a lengthy summer.

Man Utd chiefs and Ten Hag are hoping that Rasmus Hojlund's return from injury can alleviate the issue somewhat. Indeed, it was claimed on Tuesday that some Red Devils chiefs are growing restless with Ten Hag and his inability to field a balanced team even after two years in the job.
The Dutchman will have to find a way to get Fernandes, Hojlund and company firing.
