Ornstein reveals Man Utd's transfer plans for 2025
Manchester United are determined to add to their offensive ranks in upcoming transfer windows, according to David Ornstein.
The Red Devils had a pretty successful summer, all things considered. Despite talk of a restricted budget, Man Utd splashed the cash in Sir Jim Ratcliffe's first window at the helm.
However, after signing Manuel Ugarte late in the window, Man Utd were not in a position to bolster their attack. Though they did sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna, it was clear given the type of unique striker that he is that he was not signed to be the club's new main goalscorer.

Erik ten Hag had wanted another No.9, a more proven and prolific player, but they baulked at Ivan Toney's price tag due to his age and were not entirely convinced that Victor Osimhen could replicate his Serie A form in the Premier League.
It meant that Zirkzee was the only senior attacking reinforcement and Man Utd have so far struggled to take their chances, which has ramped up the pressure on Ten Hag again.
Man Utd to sign attackers
With Rasmus Hojlund returning from injury at long last, Man Utd are confident that they can improve their output in the upcoming games after seeing the likes of Zirkzee, Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo failing to convert their opportunities in front of goal.
However, despite the Dane's comeback and the now-official signing of his 16-year-old compatriot Chido Obi-Martin, the Manchester giants want to add more attacking talent.

That is according to David Ornstein of The Athletic. "Erik Ten Hag's still trying to impose some sort of style and identity and gel some of these new players into the team," he said on the Back Pages podcast.
"Zirkzee was the only attacking signing, and you did feel a bit more was needed there. They will look to subsequent windows to improve in that department, and get players back fit, like Rasmus Hojlund, of course."
