Man Utd 'make contact' with Spain wonderkid wanted by Real Madrid
Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Sevilla as they eye a move for Spain youngster Juanlu Sanchez.
Sanchez, 21, is a Sevilla academy graduate and he featured for Spain as they won the gold medal at this summer’s Paris Olympics.
The Red Devils spent heavily during INEOS’ first summer transfer window in charge and they are looking to add more reinforcements in January, with Sanchez among their targets.

The 21-year-old has featured as a right-back, a central midfielder and a right winger since breaking into Sevilla’s first-team and his versatility is evidently of interest to Man Utd.
Man Utd have already contacted Sevilla sporting director Victor Orta regarding a possible move for Sanchez, according to Spanish outlet ABC Sevilla (via The Mirror), although they are yet to submit a formal offer.
Osasuna and Brighton & Hove Albion were reportedly interested in signing the Spaniard during the 2023 January window, but a deal didn’t materialise and although Real Madrid have also been linked, he remains a Sevilla player.

Man Utd’s transfer plans
In addition to Sanchez, Man Utd are also eager to bolster their options at left-back during the January transfer window.
Fulham’s Antonee Robinson is their primary target following injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, although Marco Silva’s side are currently reluctant to let the USMNT star leave Craven Cottage.
Furthermore, Man Utd remain interested in Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, while Brighton captain Lewis Dunk has emerged as a shock transfer target in recent days.
Crystal Palace and England star Eberechi Eze is also being chased by the Red Devils, with Ten Hag’s side in the market for a new attacker in 2025.
Mason Mount has underperformed since his move from Chelsea last summer and reports suggest that Antony is pushing to leave Old Trafford in search of more regular game time.
