Man Utd eye SHOCK move for Brighton star
Manchester United are interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion captain Lewis Dunk, a sensational report from Spain has claimed.
The Seagulls skipper has been a stalwart for Brighton since he broke into the club’s senior team and his form over the past few years has now attracted the attention of Man Utd.
That is according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, who report that Dunk’s leadership and experience has caught the eye of the Red Devils.

Since INEOS’ arrival at the start of 2023, Man Utd have switched their focus to signing a younger demographic of players, with older signings deemed to be a thing of the past.
However, they are reportedly keen on signing Dunk and could pursue a move for the England defender in 2025.
Interest in the Brighton captain comes following reports that Man Utd will look to sign a new defender next summer. Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite remains of interest, but Dunk has seemingly now emerged as an alternative target to the Toffees star.

Man Utd signed Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro and Noussair Mazraoui during the summer transfer window, however they are still searching for a new centre-back and a new left-back.
The futures of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are unknown as things stand, while Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are both injury-prone. As a result, Man Utd are hoping to bolster their backline yet again in 2025.

Lewis Dunk to leave Brighton?
Dunk, 32, joined Brighton's academy back in 2003 and he made his first-team debut against MK Dons in May 2010.
The Englishman helped Brighton achieve promotion to the Championship in 2011 and he was nominated for the Football League Young Player of the Year award the following campaign.
In 2016-17, Dunk was named in the Championship Team of the Season as he played a vital role in the Seagulls’ promotion to the Premier League for the very first time.
He was named Brighton captain in 2019, following Bruno Saltor’s retirement, and Dunk now has 462 appearances for the Seagulls under his belt.
