The 18-year-old suffered a fractured metatarsal during the first half of the Red Devil's 2-1 loss to Arsenal in Los Angeles during pre-season.

When he was introduced to the Old Trafford crowd ahead of the Fulham game, he was seen using crutches. But now MEN have reported that his recovery has accelerated and they are no longer needed.

It's thought that Yoro has been working diligently in the gym at Carrington alongside physiotherapists.

Head coach Erik ten Hag touched on the player's recovery recently. "That's part of football," Ten Hag said. "At this level, injuries are inevitable when you push players to their limits. But the team is handling it well, and both Yoro and Rasmus are already showing great signs of recovery. They’ll be back stronger."

Man Utd remain calm on Yoro

We reported earlier this window that Paris Saint-Germain decided not to push for the signature of Yoro owing to concerns over injuries.

The Ligue 1 side had been keen to sell due to the player's expiring contract next year and were ready to bite Man Utd's hands off after Real Madrid had tried to lowball them.

The Athletic reporter told Duncan Castles exclusively on the Transfers Podcast, powered by FootballTransfers: "Leny Yoro is out injured, but Manchester United didn’t sign him for the immediate term, he’ll be at United I suspect for many years to come.

"He’s regarded by brighter footballing minds than me, as being of the foremost if not the foremost young centre-back in European football. United can be proud and excited about when he gets back to fitness and settles in”.
