Wonderkid who TERRIFIED Man Utd defenders set to snub Ten Hag
Tyler Dibling is looking increasingly likely to sign a new Southampton contract despite interest from Manchester United.
The Saints youngster has been one of the breakout stars of this nascent Premier League season. While promoted Southampton have struggled to come to grips with life back in the top flight, the 18-year-old has impressed.
The winger was handed his first start by Russell Martin at the weekend against none other than Man Utd and stole the show. The game ultimately ended in a 3-0 defeat for Dibling's side, but the winger left a lasting impression, terrifying the Red Devils' defence and winning the penalty that could have completely changed the game had Cameron Archer converted.

Southampton dominated the first 30 minutes of that fixture and Dibling was one of the driving forces behind the Saints' solid start to the match. According to Ben Jacobs, the young winger has caught the attention of bigger sides, including Man Utd.
Dibling set for new deal
However, Dibling does not appear to be overly impressed by the high-profile interest. Jacobs states that Southampton are keen to tie the wonderkid down to fresh terms and that this is increasingly likely to materialise.
Dibling, it is claimed, is loving life under Martin, who continues to afford the teenager game time despite the Saints spending north of €100 million on new recruits in the summer.

Dibling is 'giving indications' that he has no intention of leaving St. Mary's, but a new contract is not an immediate priority for either party. The winger only signed his first professional deal in December and is still tied to Southampton until 2026 with the option for a further year.
Nevertheless, Southampton feel that they would be well advised to give Dibling a pay rise to fend off interest, particularly from Man Utd. It is asserted that sporting director Dan Ashworth was already a fan of the forward while he was still working for Newcastle and has retained his affection for the talent.
