Man Utd set to be dragged into Alexander-Arnold Real Madrid transfer
Liverpool could be boosted in their hopes of keeping Trent Alexander-Arnold, with Real Madrid considering an alternative option that could cause alarms at Manchester United.
Alexander-Arnold is out of contract at Anfield next summer and the England international kept his options open when asked about his future recently.
Liverpool are desperate to renew Alexander-Arnold’s deal and believe they still could convince the right-back to stay – an outcome which would lead Real to move for Diogo Dalot, according to GIVEMESPORT.

Dalot has slowly established himself as one of United’s most consistent performers and the 25-year-old still has four years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford.
However, Real have monitored Dalot for many years and the Portuguese international could be tempted by the move, leaving Erik ten Hag ‘fearful’ of a raid by the Spanish giants.
Real are seeking a long-term successor to captain Dani Carvajal and, while they are said to be ‘relaxed’ over their pursuit of Alexander-Arnold, Dalot’s versatility is said to have made him a top alternative to the Liverpool star.
United 'concerned' over Real Madrid interest
Dalot has played more than 150 games for United since joining the club for €22 million in 2018, with a significant portion of his recent appearances coming at left-back due to injuries.
The ex-Porto defender was a target for Real prior to penning a new contract with United last year and the Premier League side are aware they need to prove their ambition on the pitch to ensure Dalot remains happy.

Real would still prefer to sign Alexander-Arnold due to his contractual status, with Dalot likely to command a significant fee if United were open to cashing in on the defender.
However, United are determined that Dalot is not for sale, although the club are reportedly ‘concerned’ that they could be dragged into a fight to keep him next summer.
