Romano says ‘zero truth’ in Chelsea rumour
Mykhailo Mudryk has been linked with a January move away from Chelsea, but football transfer news reporter Fabrizio Romano has revealed the truth behind these rumours.
Mudryk has been struggling to generate a positive influence at Stamford Bridge since a big-money move from Shakhtar Donetsk 18 months ago. In 62 appearances for the Blues, he has scored only seven goals and created five more.
Marseille have been linked with a move for the winger, with head coach Roberto De Zerbi once having tipped the Ukraine international as a potential Ballon d’Or candidate.

There is also said to be interest from elsewhere in the Premier League, while European giants Bayern Munich were even linked with a shock move for the 23-year-old in January this year.
Romano, though, says Mudryk is not contemplating a move at this point of the season.
“There's absolutely zero truth in the story that Mykhailo Mudryk wants to leave Chelsea,” Romano wrote for the Daily Briefing.
“Mudryk has not made any decision to leave, and there are no talks taking place with any club.

“Full focus remains on Chelsea and on doing his best under Maresca, while Chelsea also hope to see him at his best soon.
“So there's really nothing in this ‘story’ - I don't even know where this is coming from to be fair.”
Maresca outlines Mudryk’s Chelsea roleMudryk, meanwhile, appears to be firmly in the plans of manager Enzo Maresca, who revealed that he is still counting on the winger ahead of his side’s clash with West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday.
Asked to explain the hierarchy of his squad, the Chelsea manager explained: “As a left wingers, we have Jadon Sancho and Misha [Mudryk]. As a right wingers, we have Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto. As a ten, we have Cole Palmer and Joao Felix. As a nine, we have Christopher Nkunku and Nico Jackson. The squad is quite clear in terms of positions.”
Mudryk has started three of Chelsea’s six games this season but was left on the bench as they beat Bournemouth 1-0 last weekend.
