TalkSport have revealed that the two Premier League clubs and Newcastle have registered an interest in the Brentford attacker. The 25-year-old has scored eight goals in his first nine league matches so far, in what's been a superb start to the 2024/25 season.

The outlet stated that: "Brentford have slapped a €60 million asking price on in-form striker Bryan Mbeumo. [...] That scoring spree is attracting the attention from the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle and prompted Bees manager Thomas Frank to tout him for a move to a bigger club.

"But Mbeumo has a year’s option in his contract, which Brentford plan to activate to tie him down until the summer of 2027, and therefore send his transfer value soaring."

FootballTransfers' Estimated Transfer Value algorithm ranks the Cameroonian at €45m, which would mean that Brentford are asking for a slightly over value.

The Telegraph reported earlier this week that Newcastle were keen on bringing in a right-sided winger, with Mbeumo a target, but "it is believed they will have to make sure they sell someone in the summer."

Salah replacement

The Gunners have Saka as their go-to right-winger but the England international is susceptible to injuries. Liverpool, meanwhile, will be looking for a replacement for Mohamed Salah, should the club legend depart Anfield in the summer. The veteran's contract is up in June 2025 and so far there have been no suggestions that they will tie him down on fresh terms.

As a versatile option who can feature on the right flank or up front, Mbeumo has been deemed as a suitable replacement for Salah at Anfield and the Reds would likely be the frontrunners for his signature if they made a move.

Mbeumo has continued to impress for Brentford since joining the Bees in 2019 for €6.5 million, providing 28 goals and 21 assists in 106 games in the Premier League.
