RED-HOT Arsenal target 'not untouchable' in January

Eintracht Frankfurt director Markus Krosche has admitted that Omar Marmoush could be available in January.

The Egypt international is in red-hot form in this early stage of the season. Eintracht Frankfurt have been one of the surprise packages of this new campaign and Marmoush has been the key reason behind their success.

The versatile forward has struck up a brilliant partnership with Hugo Ekitike to make the Eagles one of Germany's most exciting teams, but the 25-year-old has excelled even without the Frenchman.

So far this term, Marmoush has netted seven goals and contributed five assists in just eight games across all competitions and he again starred for Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday, winning and subsequently converting a penalty to put his side on track for a 3-1 victory.

Marmoush 'not untouchable'

Since joining Frankfurt in 2023, Marmoush has developed massively, impressing with speed, technical ability and, of course, his finishing. Already last season, he fired himself into the spotlight with 17 goals and six assists.

Speculation surrounded him in the summer, but Marmoush decided to stay and publically thanked fans for their love and support, which convinced him that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Nevertheless, interest remains, with Arsenal prominently linked in recent weeks. FootballTransfers also understands that West Ham have identified the Egyptian as a target.

It will therefore come as music to the ears of the Gunners and the Hammers that Marmoush would be available at the right price in January despite his importance to Eintracht. Speaking after the Besiktas game, Frankfurt director Markus Krosche admitted that 'no Eintracht player is untouchable.'

"It's true that Omar made a clear commitment to us in the summer. He has developed well and still has a lot of potential to develop further. We don't want to lose so many key players. However, I have to admit that no Eintracht player is untouchable," he said.
