Arsenal target Gyökeres' price tag SLASHED
Viktor Gyokeres will be able to leave Sporting CP for less than his release clause, according to reports.
The Sweden international has once again been on fire this season. He has 14 goals in as many games as well as four assists. This has once again led to a slew of reports linking him with a move away from Portugal.
Florian Plettenberg, of Sky Germany, has tweeted that even though Sporting CP have a release clause set at €100 million into his current deal, he will be able to leave for much less.

He wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Been told despite a release clause set at €100m, there is an agreement that Viktor Gyökeres can leave Sporting CP next summer for €60-70m
A move in the winter is currently not planned. A transfer in the summer is very likely. In England, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea are specifically interested in the 26 y/o. #LFC #CFC
"All of the teams are informed about the transfer agreement. 18 goals and 7 assists this season yet. Top striker."
Gyokeres may go in January
Last week Sporting CP's president Frederico Varandas admitted that
Gyokeres may be sold in January.
Speaking to RTP3, Varandas talked about in-demand coach Ruben Amorim and Gyokeres, insisting that Sporting are a much more attractive club than those outside Portugal may be inclined to believe and that a January sale of the star striker would be complicated but not impossible.
“One of the wonderful things about being a fan and a member is being able to enjoy the present. I don’t enjoy the present, my role as president is to live in the future, to be prepared for, if this or that player leaves, who will come in?
"I heard these questions about Ruben leaving four years ago, which is something that should make all Sporting fans proud and make the media ask: how is it that one of the best coaches in the world has been at Sporting for five years? That’s what’s fantastic.”

Quizzed about Gyokeres and a winter move, the president responded: “I would say it is very, very, very difficult. There are no impossible things in life, but I would say it is really very difficult.
"He has scored many goals and continues to score, but, with all due respect, it will be very difficult to leave in January.” Gyokeres boasts a €100 million release clause, which is the biggest hurdle for any potential suitor.
