Arsenal quoted hefty price for the 'next Sancho'
Arsenal are still interested in Jamie Gittens, according to a report.
The Borussia Dortmund winger always appears to be on the verge of finally breaking out, but he has so far not quite managed to establish himself as a regular.
Gittens - who dropped the 'Bynoe' part of his name ahead of the new season - started the campaign like a house on fire, coming off the bench to score a brace in BVB's opening Bundesliga game against Eintracht Frankfurt.

It was the 20-year-old's moment, potentially the moment to finally kickstart his Dortmund career. New head coach Nuri Sahin rewarded him with a start against Werder Bremen in the next match, but Gittens failed to have an impact and dropped back down to the bench.
He again netted a brace in the Champions League against Club Brugge and he has notched three assists in all competitions, but all things considered, it still hasn't really clicked for the Englishman, who has had to contend with inevitable comparisons to ex-Dortmund favourite Jadon Sancho due to his position, nationality and career path, joining the German giants from Man City as a teenager.
Gittens keenly scouted
Yet the comparisons to Sancho are apt. When Gittens is on form, he is unstoppable, just like the Chelsea winger. However, one can't help but feel that the 20-year-old is still too raw to be a guaranteed, reliable starter and Sahin, just like Edin Terzic before him, appears to agree.
Still, Gittens' talent is undeniable and, as such, it is no surprise that he is frequently linked with a return to England. A host of Premier League clubs are said to be keenly scouting him in Germany.

CaughtOffside is the latest outlet to associate Gittens with Arsenal, who have been linked with him for the best part of a year. However, a move may not be on the cards anytime soon for the England U21 international.
That is because Dortmund, who extended his deal until 2028 last year, are said to have slapped a €60 million price tag on the youngster's head. So far, the exciting prospect has done little to justify that sum and it would be a surprise to see any club shell out that much unless he refines his game over the course of the season.
