OFFICIAL: Jhon Duran signs new Aston Villa contract
Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran has officially signed a new contract with the club until 2030.
The 20-year-old was heavily linked with both Chelsea and West Ham United during the summer transfer window, but he was unable to secure a move away and he has now penned a new deal with the Villa Park outfit.
Duran has already scored six goals in all competitions so far this season, including a stunning winner against Bayern Munich in the Champions League last week, but he is yet to start a Premier League match this campaign.

The Colombian has been restricted to a super-sub role, with England international Ollie Watkins preferred through the middle by Villa boss Unai Emery.
Duran caused mass controversy over the summer when he was spotted doing the Hammers sign on Instagram Live ahead of a proposed move to West Ham.
The deal collapsed and Duran was subsequently forced to apologise to Aston Villa fans.

Chelsea and Real Madrid have both been tracking Duran’s immense form this campaign, but talk of a move away is now set to die down following news of his contract extension at Villa Park.
Duran has scored 14 goals in 59 appearances for Aston Villa since arriving at the club from Chicago Fire in January 2023, and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €22.5 million is set to rise sharply following his immense recent form.
What has been said about Jhon Duran?
Following the end of the summer transfer window, Damian Vidagany, Aston Villa’s director of football operations, claimed that Duran was wanted by virtually every club in world football.
“If there is a club which really thinks he can be one of the top strikers in the world, if there is one club and one manager, it is Aston Villa and Unai Emery,” Vidagany said (as per 90min).
“There are no fewer than 40 clubs who want Duran - everyone wants Duran.
“Jhon Duran is a boy of 20 who knows what we know, he has a huge potential. He can be one of the best strikers in the world, period."
