Chelsea are eyeing a shock move for Manchester United outcast Antony, according to sensational reports in Spain.

The Blues have spent over €1.2 billion on new signings since Clearlake Capital’s arrival in 2022 and they are now monitoring Antony’s situation at Old Trafford as they ponder a possible bid in 2025.

Antony joined Man Utd for a whopping €95m two years ago, but he has failed to justify the Red Devils’ eye-watering outlay and reports suggest that he could push to leave the club next year.

The Brazilian has only tallied 27 minutes of Premier League action so far this season, courtesy of two substitute appearances, while his sole start of the campaign came during a 7-0 win over Barnsley in the Carabao Cup.

Man Utd are reportedly ready to cut their losses on Antony and Chelsea have joined the race to sign him, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

Enzo Maresca’s side currently boast Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto as senior options on the right flank, while Brazilian wonderkid Estevao Willian will join the club when he turns 18 in 2025.

However, Chelsea have reportedly expressed their interest in Antony as they prepare for Mykhailo Mudryk’s possible departure.

Mykhailo Mudryk to leave Chelsea?

Mudryk delivered arguably his best performance in a Chelsea shirt during their 4-1 win over Panathinaikos in the Europa Conference League last week, but he continues to be linked with a Stamford Bridge exit amid his inconsistent form.

However, as per Fichajes, Chelsea won’t push to sign Antony unless they offload at least one winger from their current ranks, meaning the Brazilian will arguably only move to Stamford Bridge if Mudryk departs.

The aforementioned Neto and Jadon Sancho both only arrived at the club this summer, while Madueke is currently enjoying the best spell of his Chelsea career. As a result, Mudryk is the most likely winger to leave the club and enable Antony to arrive.
