CONFIRMED: Chelsea set new Mykhailo Mudryk transfer stance
Chelsea will not look to sell Mykhailo Mudryk during the January transfer window, FootballTransfers understands, despite rumours of a mid-season exit.
The Ukraine international was excluded from the Blues’ matchday squad during their 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, but he is expected to remain at Stamford Bridge until at least next summer.
Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in a deal worth an initial €70 million in January 2023, but he has netted just seven goals across 66 appearances for the club and summer signing Jadon Sancho has usurped him as Enzo Maresca’s preferred option on the left flank.

Meanwhile, Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku were all selected on Chelsea’s bench ahead of Mudryk at Anfield.
However, the Chelsea hierarchy have no ambition to sell Mudryk, with the club believing that it would be an illogical move given his young age and the vast sum they paid to sign him.
Furthermore, the Ukraine star’s current contract at Stamford Bridge isn’t due to expire until 2031, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) now stands at €48.6m.
Ligue 1 giants Marseille are among the clubs to have been linked with a January move for Mudryk, but we have been told that Chelsea are eager to retain the 23-year-old.

Ben Chilwell latest
However, FootballTransfers understands that Chelsea will offer Ben Chilwell to Premier League clubs in January, with the Blues willing to send the Englishman out on loan for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.
Maresca has made it clear that Chilwell isn’t part of his first-team plans and having failed to secure an exit during the summer window, he could leave Stamford Bridge in January.
Leicester City have registered their interest in re-signing Chilwell, although a move to Manchester United is currently unlikely, despite reports of interest from Erik ten Hag’s side.
Chilwell was part of the Chelsea team that won the 2021 Champions League, but his stock has fallen dramatically over the past few months and he has mustered 45 minutes of action so far this season.
